about

I first met Marry when I was asked to be musical director for a television programme the BBC were doing, an Electric Proms in honour of Marry’s mother Lal. Marry and I spoke about working together a bit, and finally, this duet arrived. It’s a treat of a song, a lovely way with a lyric, has Marry. We keep in touch and occasionally talk of doing something else together, but nothing has matched the ease of this song. It first appeared on Marry’s 2011 album ‘The Days that Shaped Me’

There are a few videos of that concert up on Youtube. My hair was pretty scraggly, but I still have those curls. All those breadcrusts I eat, I suppose.
