Wilson's Arms (Lal Waterson), Gaberlunzie Man (Trad.,learned from Lizzie Higgins / Lisa Knapp) , John Anderson, ma Jo' (Trad, learned from Jimmy Macbeath), Oh Aye, Oh Aye (Trad., learned through osmosis), Doffing Mistress (Trad., learned from Anne Briggs), Hares on the Mountain (Trad., learned from Shirley Collins).

This medley was recorded as a session for Simple Folk Radio 2012, I've always fancied putting it out somehow, so here it is.

Played and sampled by James Yorkston.

The German singers half-way through were recorded in Dublin airport. Alasdair Roberts and I were by chance sat awaiting a flight somewhere when they burst into song.

The wee girl chatting throughout is my wee girl, chatting throughout.

The third song is simply filthy.

The majority of the sound effects were recorded on my phone whilst visiting the Isle of Bute. The owl noise was down the mine / counter mine at St Andrews' Castle. I think those bells were recorded in England somewhere whilst on tour. The explosion noises were recorded in the Tate Britain, when they were doing some building work there. It's the details that matter, eh?
