about

Well, this was my first 'Picket Fence' for Fence Records and if memory serves, it was released in 2003.

This was actually my 2nd attempt at '30'. Johnny and Kenny at Fence had stressed that their Picket Fence series was to be used for more experimental releases. As such, my first '30' attempt was a concertina part I'd originally played for 'Blue Madonnas' which I then t-i-m-e--s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d to 30 minutes. It was quite the noise, let me tell you. I think Fence sold maybe four or five of those as CDr's and all was fine. Until, I heard everyone else's 'Picket Fence' efforts and - well - they were all just the usual pop songs. So, I pulled my original '30' and came up with this one here. It's not exactly Pop, certainly not Popular, but is a better listen than # 1, unless you want to scare the rats. I think this version sold seven copies.
